Winter days carry a special kind of silence — the kind that slows us down, softens us, and gently pulls us back into the warm corners of our homes. And nothing completes that feeling like a cup of something warm, creamy, and comforting.

This cocoa isn’t ordinary. It’s a little winter therapy: soft chocolate, a touch of cinnamon, a drizzle of honey, and just enough warmth to calm the body and let your thoughts melt like steam above the cup.

Perfect for early mornings with snow whispering outside the window, or quiet evenings when all you need is a small break from the world.

 INGREDIENTS:

  • 250 ml milk (regular or plant-based)

  • 1 tablespoon quality cocoa powder

  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar

  • 1 square of dark chocolate (optional, but makes it extra creamy)

  • A pinch of cinnamon

  • A pinch of vanilla

  • Whipped cream or marshmallows (optional)

PREPARATION:

  1. Pour the milk into a small pot and warm it over low heat. Don’t let it boil.

  2. Add the cocoa powder and whisk until smooth and lump-free.

  3. Add the dark chocolate square and stir until it completely melts.

  4. Mix in the honey, cinnamon, and vanilla.

  5. When it becomes creamy and well-combined, pour into your favorite mug.

  6. Top with whipped cream or marshmallows if you want an extra cozy touch.

This hot cocoa is more than a recipe — it’s a little ritual.A reminder to slow down, breathe deeply, and give yourself a moment of softness.

Take it with a book, the sound of snow outside the window, or a quiet evening rearranging your thoughts.

Let this winter be gentler to you.
